---- Starbucks

Re: ---- Starbucks
I drink a lot of Starbucks... BUT the only thing I ever buy is regular ol' coffee. I've tried a ton of other coffees (Seattle's Best, Tully's, countless independent roasters) and I prefer starbucks beans.
Also, I don't pay for any of it... company credit card FTW.

Re: ---- Starbucks
Wow, I wasn't expecting a coffee critique when HMT was turned onto the subject of Starbucks.
Everytime I walk into one of those pretentious synthetic plastic shitholes I usually have one to five random people trying to stare me down like I don't belong because I didn't drive up in a new car, or god help me I'm wearing a $20 mechanics jacket that's 10 years old and I have grease under my nails. Nobody who thinks Starbucks is a cool place likes open downpipe turbo cars. It was amusing to go in there for a while and call people out for it - they wanted to make me out as a dirty redneck, so I gave them dirty redneck - "do you ------- want anything, buddy?" The only time I had a guy get up and have a problem with it I told him no man who worked for a living was impressed by fat guts and papercuts, he needed to sit back down, and he did. Pretty obvious he grew up middle class and never had a conflict outside the highschool locker room.
It was fun for a while and suited my passive-aggressive streak, or let me blow off steam, but after the tenth time it was just stupid. I was supporting a place full of ********. It made no sense.

Re: ---- Starbucks
The worst part about Starbucks is the yuppy scum that show up with their goddamn Mac notebooks and do whatever it is they do. You got a $2k notebook. I'm willing to bet my first born that you've got internet at home ***. :P

One of the local independent coffee houses has a large sign on their counter, "we do not speak Starbucks here."
