I tried titanium first and the sockets stripped out because they weren't deep enough

No, I believe he stripped the holes not the bolts. That still sucks but I'd probably rather strip the hole and fix it better than stock for under a dollar than ---- up a $10+ bolt. Those bolt are pretty baller though.
