I just hope those motors last longer thn the other Neon motors. My boss bought his daughter one and he says he wouldn't trust it to go out of town at only 70k miles. My moms Accord has 270k miles and it goes out of town with no problems.

For the record, I don't drive a Honda. :P

VW guys and a bunch of other people complain Honduhs ave shitty plastic interiors - well, so do Neons. The Honduh and the mini-Mopar guys should band together and crush all of them, if you bitches will just stop your bickering for three minutes.
I respect the Srt4's, STI's, and EVO's but I like knowing that I just beat them in a car that has a kelley blue book value of $2,500. And for the record I like my plastic interior, it's very humbling.

The 88 Civic STD blue book's at $650. Vinyl seats, y0! That ---- is so uncommon these days, it's almost cool to have.

The CRX HF is, I'd guess, worth a smidge more in kbb... but given the condition of the body I'm bolting all the rocketship parts into

Mine are dookie grey, y0!

The seats might get replaced... I know the stock 4G Si seats weigh a TON, 50-60 lbs I'd guess, if the STD are similar there are OEM alternatives that weigh half that and are just as comfortable. Always liked the Miata seats, but my *** is narrow enough to fit them unlike some overweigh americans. Hotrex, perfect example.

I like to race srt4 cause it is a pretty even match for a turbo civic. I think it makes for a good rivalry. I want to see how those cars are holding up in a coulpe years.

I just weighed my 4G Si seats, 22 pounds each, without rails. Rails weigh about 6-7 pounds per pair.

DX seats in my car I've had out, do not recall them being a ton lighter, Si seats seem more comfortable so I'm sticking with them.

I think short of some uber bling CF race seats, there are better places to lose the weight. Rear interior/seats if you have them, door skins, rear glass, hood, hatch, dashbacking. Sound deadening is probably not worth it for the amount of weight you lose in a 4G, same with carpet, especially if it's a lower trim model.

90 DX hatch may or may not get rear gutted and sawzall'd this spring, I want to get some chassis bracing going on first. Though sawzalling the car probably should lead to me caging it, making all the lost weight a moot point.

Shows you what I know.

When Dave took the stock seats out of Rachel's 89 Si, they weighed *twice* what the generic racing seats he replaced them with did. "Twice" is also a guess, but it's a bit more accurate than my original weight quote.
