my current transmission is out of a 96 se-r. the gear set has been cryo'd, case is welded, plus lsd. i know they are still weak though. only reason im considering a build is i thought the pistons in the de were weak, plus the higher compression ratio. as far as tuning, one of the local shops here installs and tunes with the daughterboard... so i will be doing that. the turbo i have is a garrett t28 off a skyline, but it wont support the power i want to make now. i guess it depends on how much i can get the longblock for. wouldnt hurt to have a spare either way.

nope, buffalo, ny, usa. theres a wide variety of cars here. alot of rare cars are imported to canada, then to the us. i bought the turbo at a local shop, it was off a stock skyline, which was getting a few upgrades. i dont know, i guess i have a few hook ups. but i didnt think anything i have was that rare.

there isnt much difference if any... between the two... im sure cams are different... but there is a better site to ask that question to and its ... www.zeroyon.com

those are all a bunch of nissan fans who still live in okinawa japan... there a bunch of soldiers stationed over there... junkyard racer can back me up on the fact that they know what they are talking about... dont tell them i sent you cause they will just ask if i used spell check when i told you about it...hahahaha
ZY is our local forum. Guys who have been building SR20s since hey have come out. Don't go on there calling people ------s and don't go on there questioning there advise if you ask for it. They won't beat around the bush, won't tell you to get a rope and will give you solid advise that will be 100% the way that it is. They also dont ---- around with builds. Dumping 10g's into a motor isn't out of the ordinary. Go ask. Also, as licenseless mentioned, I think the only difference in the motor of the DET and the DE are oil squirters in the bottom end, and cams. Dont quote me on that though.
