Sprint is a crafty company
I was looking at my bill the other day and looked at their reasoning for "surcharges".
This is the opening sentance of the definition:
"Sprint Surcharges are rates we choose to collect from you to help defray costs imposed on us." :1
All along I thought that is what I was paying for when I paid for the voice plan and other services.

Yeah I have US cellular and have no clue what the hell most of that ---- on my bill means. They have made 'billing mistakes' before, but I think they try to throw that in every once in a while to get your money, and if anyone questions it "oh sorry its a mistake" is their answer. Seems like all cell companies are like that.
Still not as bad as ------- insurance companies. Bastards. :P

My girlfriend didn't get a bill from T-Mobile for 6 months. The bill date was like mm/dd/1958 instead of 2008. They finally caught it and billed her for 6 months at one time. She said "well, I paid it" to the lady on the phone and they dropped those 6 months.

Call up and pretend you are your brother, I am the executor of Jay's estate and he needs service terminated. If they try to add on fees and services state that Jay died broke, the funeral was hideously expensive, are you trying to add to our burden of hardships at a time like this by gouging for money on a phone that is no longer used?
