Pretty much anything will work. I tested it out on my own valve cover with some chrome illusion paint and it seems to be holding up to the heat fine.

How about high temp daytona yellow from autozone? it will make you fast like the cars at daytona.

Krylon makes "wrinkle" paint. The red will look exactly like a type R.They have it at pepboys....or at least the one by my house does

If all else fails you can allways put a handfull of red crayons on there and let them melt...hahah

Just go to autozone or checker and get a high temp paint. They have high gloss, low gloss, and no gloss.

I polished the "H" , and the words "16valve honda" on my SOHC valve cover and left the rest of it all chipped and rotting black/factory.

no one even looks at the valve cover "thats the turbo off a WRX ?".

I'll powder coat it for you. That way you don't have to worry about paint, plus I can add deglosser or get a wrinkle powder to make it look stock.
