Well, here it go's. I tried to do my whole install on sunday with somewhat limited results. I used the kit that I had originally fabricated for my 1988 Tercel. Well, it fit pretty well on my 1992 Tercel ewven though they are different body styles. Once everything was fitted I gave it a quick test start just to make sure everything was cool.

Heres where it go's south.

So Im changing the TPS from the OE toyota one to a DSM one that workes with the SDS, boom, I go retarded and somehow strip the throtle shaft. So now Im changing the TB to another spare one I have laying around. I change all the injectors, plug in my SDS injector harness, all the rest of the SDS sensors and figure Il give it a shot and see if it starts. It cranks, fires mabey twick then KLUNK, dead stop, ------- hydrolock. Turns out I got the coolant / air lines on the bottom of the TB wrong. So I try to correct them and try again (based on my memory of the way the looked before I moved them), worng, same deal... but without firing this time...... and now the starter sounds like ----.

So I get home tonight and decide that the solutions is to just hook up all the stock sensors and injectors to at least make sure its going to start at all, then install an SAFC and some supra 440's. No ------- deal, I dont even get 2 chances to try to start it (which it dosent by the way) before the flywheel / starter is completly stripped. = its an automatic so theres no chance of a bum start.

Bottom line - My ---- is all fucked up, I have a spare motor and transmission (manual) and just figured it would be easiest to install that, get it running on the stock ECU and use the hack. I really have untill next monday to get all this ---- together so if there anyone in southern ontario that could give me a hand I would appreciate it.

Oh yeah, Im in Port Hope (probably an hour east of Toronto).

I'l buy the beer / rum / malt liquor, and my wife is a good cook so lunch/dinner will be good for sure.

I fix it for you. Also what happand to the other Tercel? Sorry to hear you blew it up, but thats has to be the funniest ---- I have readed in a while. I didn't hook up the TB up right and blew my motor, . That sounds just as bad as a noob asking why his civic blew his motor after running an fmu with high boost. :1

Yeah, at least the engine itself isn't fucked, so Il have a block to rebuild for later. I just figured if I was going to have to take the engine out to replace the flex plate I might as well change it to the 5spd since I'm already half way there.. and I dont have a spare flex plate.

I wish I had at least FMU'd it to death, it would have been a far sight more fun.

Looks like I should be able to get the old one out wed, do all the conversion ---- thurs and fri night, and install the "new" motor and trans sunday.
