I disagree with abaz frequently, this is no different. you may be a cool person, you may have a cool website, but this was just fucked up. Getting off by destroying ---- is a good sign of a criminal or someone who is going to become one, good luck with life.

Gotta look at it from 2 points of view, I understand you guys were just out having fun and what not.. (and it probably was if you were actually there) But this website is made up of people who dont have much money, people who like to build things, people who doesnt waste stuff. Now, looking at the video, it looks as if you had a semi-decent crx shell there, alot of our users would be drooling over making that into some type of project car or whatnot. So thats why you are getting the harsh responses...

I remember seeing a similar video to this, it was with like a mecury topaz, the guy ------- riced it all out, painted it gold and ----, then he ended up destroying it similar to the way you guys did. He had jeeps and big trucks running it over. But the funniest part of the whole movie was when he had to get rid of the shell, hahaha, he towed it behind he's buddies car like right down the main road of the city he lived in.. I was cracking up..

Gotta be more creative guys!!!

btw, does your website compete with any other flordia street racing websites? just curious...

I'm sorry for my harsh responses, after seeing jeff handle this so well I think I'm going to calm the hell down. the car is gone, we can't do anything to fix that, but if I ever go to south florida you and I are going to box for this one (with gloves of course).

Yea I can understand both points of view, when all I had was my 82 Olds cutlass ciera with 200k on the clock, I hated the people that had all these nice cars and didn't give two ***** about them. Now that I've been thru so many damn cars, I've learned that a car is just a car. As much as I love cars, they don't have feelings, so I don't have to have respect for them...lol

I had first bought this car, along with two other CRX's, to build a couple drag shells for SFR shop cars. I decided that the cost to get them into the 9's wasn't worth it, so they're junk at this point. The other two I sold, one to a guy that did a B18 swap, the other to someone for a daily driver. This car on the other hand, I wouldn't feel right selling to someone. It had a serious issue with the suspension on the front, and I was afraid that someone would be doing 70 and have the wheel come off and kill themselves. Not what I want. I was going to have the junkyard pick it up, but they said they would just crush it because it's so old.

So why not just destroy it instead.

And there are a few other SoFla racing sites, but nothing with any large member base, or that's well known. I have lots of events that I pay for out of pocket, raffles, BBQ's, etc., because I know that while not everyone can afford to go to carshows and stuff, we all like the same thing, cars. So SFR is there for the members, to bring them all together. Hence why there's not flaming and crap on the forum like I've received here. Not even if people don't agree.
