Default Some Turbo set-up questions...

This is a bit long so get ready for it...

ok, so I was looking trough the site, trying to figure out how turbo works, and how easy or hard can it be, I looked at Johnny's car as a guide to me, since he has the same motor...

So this is what I need so far to meake a turbo set-up, please corect me if I am wrong or anderstood thing wrong.

1st I need 450cc injectors
2nd I need a T3/T4 turbo, doesent mater which one, but the Super 60 is preferd.
3rd I need a BOV, any would do, I am guessing...
4th Intercoler, that's in the works...
5th I need an exhoust manifold
6th Piping

now here is something that I didn't anderstand, why do I need to make a whole in the oil pan? and what's that thing do?

and this might be a stupid queestion cause I am so new, where does the piping conect 2? like I know that one goes from the intake manifold to the intercoler

but where does this side conect 2?

and last but not least, the downpipe, does that mean the exhust? do I need to make a custom one? can I hook up a mufler to it?...

Please don't be cruel and unusual just explain it to me, I am so new to this, so most of my questions are realy dumb, I have researched this site to my best nolege but most pictures don't work and peeps that do the set up kinda just say, yeah downpipe right there, but they don't explain what it is? or what it does so point me in the right direction, so I can do this on my car and start abusing the ---- out of the BOV!...

you also need some sort of fuel management
oil return lines
side 2 connects to the turbo
down pipe comes of the turbo outlet for the exhaust.

in black and white.. With a turbo system u basically have air coming out of the engine and it makes the turbo spin and force air into your engine... You were asking where the pipe on the right side of the intercooler went? Well it goes to the turbo.... the round tube looking part of the turbo that looks like u can slide a pipe over.. that part. I know how u feel man, and maybe ur in a hurry to get this project going and sometimes or always research is frustrating. So shoot me a pm and ill help u out with any questions u have
or hit me up on aim mouse1lm

The Turbo needs oil to be cooled down, when things are spinning at 10,000rpm they tend to get hot. The oil keeps the turbo running. With that said you need an oil feed line to feed the turbo with oil, and the line you see to the oil pan, is the oil return line, the oil goes in and comes right out back to the oil pan, and the cycle continues. That's why you need to drill the oil pan.

The turbo has a few openings.

You can see what i mean here. The opening in the middle is for an air filter, just like you had before on your intake.
The other opening on the side is where the compressed air is going to come out from and go to your engine. This is also where you connect the pipe to the intercooler. Then the air gets cooled down in the intercooler, and gets to your engine a little cooler than it originally was.

As you can see in your last picture, the downpipe connects to the turbo and goes under the car. The turbo is just a fan that works with your exhaust gases. Those gases need to go somewhere, so the downpipe directs those gases out to your existing exhaust system. You need to make sure you make one, or buy one, that will connect to your exhaust.

I know sometimes it seems likes it is a lot of info to take in, but read more, and eventually you will completely understand how this works, and will be able to make it happen.

This here is a pretty cool link, helped me when I started learning.

Yeap, well I searched a lot 2 years ago and found tha link, I printed that ---- out and read it like 20 million times. It helped me a lot understand the concept. Now I read it and see a few mistakes, or things I would do different, but it's a pretty good guide.
