my freind had this happen to him, i still dont get how someone would be dumb enough to not tighten the lug nuts down. it unfortunate that the kid didnt die, its darwinism only the strong/SMART survive.

Haha, I was doing a buddy a favor by changing his struts. It got late and I didn't want to ---- with the passenger side that night so I told him to come back tomorrow and I will finish. He comes back the next day and says "The passenger side is making all kinds of fucked up noises." I didn't touch the passenger side because we ran out of time. I start thinking about what it could have been....well I loosened all the lug nuts before I did anything to the car and didn't know I wasn't going to finish that night. Oops. :1

I don't know how they could have drove around with the lugnuts loose. After I put wheels back on my car I forgot to tighten the lugnuts on one of them, just driving through the neighborhood it was noticeable that something was amiss...low speed, and barely loose, it was very noticeable. What did I do? pulled over and tightened them :1

Kickass deal for that setup! I paid 2200 for my first one, which wasn't running right (he was running z6 timing with a y8 head), had a little damage. Second one I got for 2000 even, bone stock.

I'm guilty of the whole lug nut thing, my dad called me and told me he was driving my brother's truck that had expired tags and he ran out of gas and that I needed to bring him some gas before the cops showed up and impounded the truck.

I had just finished putting my suspension back together and I was in a big hurry, got all the way out to where he was like 3-4 miles away and most of the way back when it happened. I knew something wasn't right cause it was making fucked up sounds but I also just finished the suspension so I thought I fucked something else up.

Of course I was like ---- it I'm close to home it'll make it. I didn't even finish that thought when the sound got really bad and I started to pull over when the tire shot the ---- off, bounced into oncoming traffic, then bounced again off the guard rail and into the lake.

The shittiest thing about it was that the people behind me called the police before I ever got out of the car and I had to pay a towing bill just for the ******* to come out there and lift the front end of the car up enough so I could put the tire back on and get home.

when i sold my jetta, i made the chick sign a paper saying she knew what she was buying and that there was no warrenty

she blew the motor less than a km down the road..... i gave her 75 bucks to cover teh tow and thats it, she was happy whens he parted the car out and made crazy money
