too bad he cooked the tranny I have a spare set of keys at my friends house i forgot to give him. I could go repo the damn thing and scrap it.

Tell him to **** off and quit trying to scam you, you told him everything you knew about the car and it was a risk he took buying the car that was known to sit that long.

Seriously you have no idea what the dude did and how he drove it, he could be beating the **** out of it and neutral dropping it doing burnouts like all the kids did leaving my high school back in the day.

I sold a car and droppd my price 150 cause I planned on slapping a bunch of parts on it but they guy said he'd take it as is and put the parts on himself. He called back and bitched that it only lasted 3 weeks before the engine blew. I felt bad and called the guy back going to try and give him some cash or buy some of the parts back he didn't answer or return my call.

A couple days later I thought what the ---- was I thinking, I had no ESP or psychic knowledge that the car was going to blow up. I was %100 honest so ---- the guy he bought a car and it didn't last, same ---- has happened to me. Tell the guy to ---- off and stop harrassing you, you did nothing wrong and it was just bad luck. If he keeps harrassing you you'll be forced to file a complaint against him. It's not like you dumped 75w oil in a knocking engine and some lucas in the tranny 5 minutes before he test drove it, those are the ***** like crxmatt2 and his supra headgasket.

Well i was close to just giving this assclown his money back and selling the car to someone else. That was untill he called and told me he killed the tranny. when he called and told me it was leaking oil I asked what kind of oil and from where and he told me he knows stuff about cars and it was definitely motor oil from somewhere on the front of the motor. On the 3.1s there are really only 2 places oil can come from in that area the valve cover and the oil filter. I told him to change the oil and filter real quick and see if it was the seal on the filter that was leaking (there was a filter and 5qt of oil in the trunk i never got around to changing it before i sold it) The next time he called he said the tranny died well i guess he isnt good with cars if he cant tell the difference between an oil leak and tranny leak. My guess is that the tranny cooler line broke and he just kept driving the damn thing. ----.....

the first thing i do when buying used cars is ignore everything they told me they did, and assume it needs everything done.
fluid changes, tuneups, clean the car to get out the 10 year old weekflakes/crack in the corners, look for hidden baggies they may have left stuffed somewhere, etc.

found $40 and change in the isuzu and this was after it was detailed/gone over at the dealership
