I didn't even notice the jeff rims, they look alot different on a 5th gen hatch then they do on a crx.

that ic might be doing more harm than good, it's creative as ---- as far as the mounting, but it's probably just soaking up heat and giving it to your intake air.

ok, lets answer questions and gripes (sp)

the ic stays really cool, it is sitting right infront of the bumper grill. i have been ---- about it, checking after making some pulls and after driving in traffic.

the upper ic pipe does get warm, not hot, but warm... i dont like that. so when it gets painted this weekend i will be wraping it with this:

and at some point i am sure i will get off my lazy *** and make a heat shield.

yes, everything is tig welded.

and yes, i  my 4.9 fd

and as for what its cost me and whats put into it, i will copy and paste what i posted on sohchonda.com

the manifold is schedule 40 i think 1.5". its 6 90deg bends, and the flanges came from a guy on homemadeturbo.com. total cost was like 60 dollars, and my friend welded it up for 30 beans and a case of beer (that i drank most of)

the turbo is a t25 off a 2nd gen dsm (only had 30k on it), i picked it up for 100 dollars from a guy on a local forum that i auto-x with.
i picked up a turbo gasket kit from napa for 25 dollars.

the downpipe is 2.5" and the flanges and gaskets are from:
http://www.roadraceengineering.com/f...andgaskets.htm
i think i paid 25 dollars for all of them. again, my friend welded it up, he had the mandrel bends laying around. i gave him 60 dollars.

ok, that brings us to the charge pipe, ic and bov.

the charge pipe is 2 90's, 1 180, and 1 45. i actually bought a lot more than that, including some straight pipe (incase i need more later).
total cost for the pieces used, was 60 dollars (if not less) that can be picked up at summitracing.com
the ic was off a 1st gen DSM, i paid 40 dollars shipped for it. i picked it up off dsmtrader.com.
and then the shitty BOV is a Monza, i got it off eghey, and i paid like 45 dollars for it.

the couplers are from the same plumbing supply place and the pipes for the manifold (my friend is the warehouse manager) so they only cost me 5 bucks.

the oil lines and adaptor are from stealthmode and tunertoys (homemadeturbo.com). i think he is charging about 90 shipped for the kit now.

then the 450 blue tops were 50 shipped, and the rat shack 10ohm 10W resistors were 5 beans.

chipping the ecu.. free

misc fittings, vacuum t's and ---- was like 20 dollars.

i paid 35 for the boost gauge, and 20 for the gauge pod

then i tossed my friend 75 dollars for letting me use his shop, and tig welder.

so, lets do the math
total cost to me was 745 dollars

anywho, thanks for the comments, and :thumbs up: to this site, the admins, the sponcers, and everyone on it. i would still be slow if it wasnt for this place.
