Default SoCal Meet was a bust!!!!!

Man, I drove 100 miles round trip and bought all kinds of ---- for this thing, and I never saw anyone. I didn't see any signs or cars or anything. It would probably help if we held the next one at a place where there wasn't 68,000 barbeques already going on. I'm not bashing any of the planners, I'm just bitter about my car not having air conditioning.

yes this did suck!!! i too went to the area where we were supposed to meet. i met up with ghetto d and waited. this was about 2 pm and no one was around..no one from HMT anyway.

the park was full of people and it was kinda hard to distinguish any HMT members...that and no signs were posted anywhere...it was kinda shitty that this happened...i dont know why anyone didnt suggest EL dorado park ( this is a very beautiful park with a lake and lots of space to park.

this park is located near the 405 and 605 freeway. i think the citty is like santa fe srpings or something. not sure so dont quote me. anyway i think thats a good place for the next HMT meet!!!!

i too had alot of ---- in the trunk of my car in hopes of trading and getting some tips on the building of my ZC.

who wants to REALLY get together a HMT meet ... wtih enough time and no bullshit?

I was looking forward to this meet, but I'm sure we'll be able to pull it off in the future. :P

LOL, I thought it was just me cause I went too late... (got there about 3pm, cause you know the 405 was jam packed even on a weekend!!) I had a turbo and 2 ICs for sale too and food!!

What happened to the TAN TENT AND HMT BANNER that SOMEONE_D mentioned before

80miles roundtrip without AC in traffic for nothing, bleh!

Booooooohhhhhhh --------...lol

he had the tent but when he saw that no one was around ( this was about 15- 2:00 pm) he didnt put it up.. that and the lot was full of people attending some sort of soft ball game... it was very confusing and i agree that the last minute change had some affect on the outcome of the BBQ.

next time we need a week before the bbq to have a sign up sheet and to make sure the park or beach we are meeting at is an actual park or beach...not some bullshit dock!!!!

anyway here is where the pak is located...it svery nice and there is an abundance of shade everywhere....
