You guys forget that driver skills can affect the outcome of a race. I have raced and hanged out with modded STis, Civics, Evos even a few corvettes and a viper, but that doesn't mean the other guy knows how to drive or was actually trying.
Stock for Stock SRT4s>anything honda makes(except the NSX and maybe the type R)
If you start modding, then both cars have to be modded to be fair.

hhaaa yes the neverending srt-4 debate. lets face it. its a factory turbo charged car. can be made fast but its still a ------- neon. any turbo car is cool in my book. but still, ---- neons. neon<turbo d

It's got nothing to do with whats faster and everything to do with conspicuous consumption. these people dont want to drive around in a half rusted tin cans with vtak. They want an "Im young and better than you" car, not a car that leans twards the techincaly adept, and socialy apathetic people. It's 2 different styles of living and always will be. The latter being the better style of living.

I know that this isn't a very fair comparison since it would have to be a modified honda...
But I bet a honda with a 2.4l dohc turbocharged engine pushing 10psi with a conservative tune would beat the srt-4 and probably last longer. Not to mention look better (depending on the car).
Unfortunately honda company is a buncha pussies.

I hate srt-4s... everyone in the antelope valley where i live thinks there the ---- for having one and there unstopable! there are about a group of 3 srt-4s out here that all are over 400whp one is even like 600+ and they still cant get the car out of the 12s.... My civic when it was on 8 psi barely lost to a srt-4 with stock turbo on 20psi by maybe a car or so... My homie has a srt-4 with a 60-1, 20psi and a 75shot and slicks and still hasent hit 12s... on the street it beats most 12 second cars but its not faster then maybe a mid 12.. A stripped civic d series civic on 10-12 psi could do that with ease... wtf...
