In the past when running stock D16's and hmt kits it was cheap and i had little invested in it.I have started a somewhat serious build now and I am aiming for mid 11's, I have spent 5-6g just in parts in last month.There is a point it seams when you cross the line and it starts getting real expensive real fast.I guess there is much worse places to spend your money though.

about 2 grand totaling wheels, tires, shocks, springs, new sets of tires and miscelleneous crap, plus the 3/4 of my turbo kit i have sitting in my room. so far so good

On the WRX counting the stupid new transmission around $10,000, in 2 years, I could have purchased an STi or a damn M3 by now 
:P
On my old civic hatch I spent about $3,000, ZC swap and 2 turbo setups
On the Integra so far around $500, b16a swap, and speakers

93 Coupe, d16z6, car was free, traded for rusty pathfinder...ractive header, and catback, magnaflow fart can, free cause i gave the kid who had them, a job in my shop and he wast using them, aem cold air, same kid, same freebie..., $200.00 no name springs, big ricer tach out of my stang so free, 16 bsa wheels with kuhmo's, free from a parts car my uncle bought, light tint all around, free from one of my shop's vendor's. 9 cans of flat black free again from our paint supplier, Bully clutch new $200.00, installed with new/used trans by me so no labour. Car had a smashed hood when i got it, took one of a write off at the shop, so free, so yep, bout $400.00 and im the proud owner of a 280000k pretty godamn slow, little bit rice, flat black, lowered, civic...now that i read this back seems like i wasted 4 bills...sigh...
