Default smallest fuel cell with a lvl sensor?

for the lift of me i can only find like.. the 15 gallon units. im in need of a 5 gallon unit with a level sensor, or a low level sensor or something. ANYTHING.

Do you really want a 5gal tank? I have one in the crx and I have about a 90 mile range between fill-ups. It sucks. You will kick yourself in the *** if you get it. IMO.

No. the reasoning behind this i think is pretty good.

the 2nd gen as well as most rotary engines have two fuel rails. Primary and secondary.
what i plan to do is fill up my normal tank with 87octane and fill up the 3 gallon with 93 octane, or my own home brew e85(shut up).

i figure... why buy 93 and wastefully use it while idling in your driveway when you can use it only in on boost situations?

heres the situation. im running a haltech e6x. on a rotary setup, the injectors are staged from primary to secondary. When im in off boost, the primaries are the only ones working. on boost, the secondary (1600cc X 2) bank fires up. they have their own separate fuel rail and whatnot. So i was thinking. Why fill up my tank with 93 ( way more expensive and harder to find now a days ) when i can have 87, and run that ---- during cruize and whatnot, and when i hit 1 psi, i can just switch over to using 93 or e85 and just rocket.

around here 93/94 is $.20 more than 87. so an extra $1 per 5 gal is not a deciding factor imo
however your idea is very interesting. best of luck

yeah i know. the thing is, i can make my own e85 and put that ---- in there and drive off slamming the boost and be perfectly happy.

That is a nice idea. Sounds like a hassle IMO but to each their own.

What about in the high-load low rpm range? You could still have det. problems even out of boost...

As far as the fuel level goes...worst case you could take a fuel level sender from some stock car and wire up an led to come on when the fuel reaches the appropriate level on the potentiometer. At least then you would know when its getting low.

not an issue. at every 500 or so rpms, we have a negative side and a positive side of the map. left side is negative and right side is positive. if im not making boost at 5k rpms, it will still be on the regular bank of injectors.

i could totally not use the 1600's if i run no boost. ill have to figure out what the staging values are cus id like to just have one swift cut off point. cus as far as i know.

That would be a good idea if you wanted to run race gas in the second fuel cell.. Solid way to hustle people at street races.

ha ha ha yeah. good way to hustle, but i dont street race man. i dont want to get my ---- crushed, or kill someone.

what i have decided is that a level sensor is just a lil more complicated. what i will do is just so simple it hurts. the 3gallon tank usually has two fittings on top and two on the bottom for returns and feeds and so on and so forth. so what i will do is just run a clear hose from the top to the bottom to give me an indication at what level the fuel is at.

now i just have to make sure that the haltech is fireing them off by themselves rather than just mixing the 550's with the 1600's.
