Default Re: Got My Work Cut Out For Me. My Build w/pics.

Update: I have the complete drivers side separated. Now I just need to do the Passeneger, and find the hidden one I might have missed. Then to weld in everything and run wires. I'm renforcing the firewall just as added security. It's probably not needed seeing as things are being done the wy they should, but the extra peice of ind is worth it to me!

As or where I got everything. There was a place about 5min from where I went to college. They bring in half cuts, strip the motors out then sell them and scrap the clip. I went there, pulled the motor with my bro-in-law one morning, left that for them and got everything else. The complete steering rack and crossmember, Dash, Master Cylinder and Booster, Everything but the motor, cluster, center console and heat controls(because 4month before we grabed tose for my buddy.)

I'm using the Master Cylinder and such. They're larger then the USDM, Integra sized. I've had prelude masters on my car before and liked the feelingof a larger bore. I already have the larger brakes from tegs, so I don't need the SiR ones (10.3" vs 9.5"). I had them for sale in the classifieds, but no one jumped on them.

Man you want to buy everything from me!! If you want it, it's yours. I'll have no need but he cost of scrap metal or it.

DX Rack.

Ya I hae to use the RHD one. It's Powe Steering which kinda sucks. I'll have to clean up the lines.

Well I dug in a little more over the past week, so heres an update.

Stripping Paint. I know I didn't need it to bare metal, but I'm using chemical stripper that worked so well that it was next to no work, and I at least wanted to get every coat from the Yellow Paint off.

I was so happy to see the yellow come off!! I don't know what I was thinking. HMT helped me see the light as it was painted before I knew this place was around!!

Bare Roof

Nice and clean!!

Tools of the trade.

RHD Conversion Continues. I just need to seperate 1 small seam per side which will take less then an hour then it's out. Everything is dirty from sanding.

Half-Cleaned Block, Waiting for Hotrex to send some Devcon Block Filler!

HMT Hot Tank. Bucket of Varsol and let her sit!

Getting pretty clean!

And the reason I have time to do this, and the way I get around now!!!!
