yeah, it really depends on the wireing you use. if your going 88-89 d16a1 swap, your best bet is to use integra wireing. If you go with 86-87 D16a1 swap, best thign is getting an si harness. theres only like 3 wire changes needed to make the si harness work with the vacume advance d16a1, and theres like 20 that need to be made to use electronic advance d16a1. Anyways, i like the way i did it best, i used 89 wireing and spliced in crx connectors. easy.

im going to the trak this weekend. Maybe i can get some video, but ill at least get a few times.

thanks for the support

that basically mean you did it right so far!

my only thought is get a new grill piece. but make sure its osme other color. teh more different colors you have (with out making it look like teh cayola jetta from the late 90's) will make it look way sleeper.

oh and about that fuel pump LMK hook me up with the site, pm me or post it for everyone.
I'm not saying it's cheap, but it's a direct bolt in. You may have to use a hose clamp and some kind of cushioning material to mount the pump in the same location. I just used some foam and a hose clamp and its fine.

Here is the website:
http://www.fuel-pumps.net/fuel-pumps...cyl--1-5l.html

If you hard line your fuel pump with a 10 gauge wire directly from the battery with an inline fuse and a good ground you'll notice a difference in fuel pressure and also sound. It gets a lot louder when it's hard lined. I hard lined mine with a cutoff switch so you have to turn it off and on everytime you have the engine on or off. Hard lining it only cost a few bucks and about 45 minutes of work.

I have to buy another fuel pump. Mine took a crap after only 2 months.

hey i like what youve done. im in the process of swapping in a d16z6 turbo into an 85 crx si. my question to you is what mounts did you use i saw you said soemthign bout it but was that the brand name? cuz what i was guna do is use the 86 teg tranny and just fab up the othr mounts unless i can get in contact with hasport and see if they will part out the b series kit they make cuz i just need that one mount they have but im not gunna spend 600 on a full kit to only use one part

as far as a d16z6 or newer d series in a 1g its possible but alot of work. the best thing to do is use either a d16a1 or d16a6 bottom end because they both have the bolt holes for the halfshaft. the other d seires motors dont have them and you have to drill into the block and its really hard to get th halfshaft ligned up 100% to avoid axel bind.

about the mounts, if you use the d16a1 tranny you will only have to fab up the one driverside mount like you said.

i went to the dyno yesterday. pulled 190 whp and 170wtq @ 10 psi. The afr was 12.5 to 1 accross the rpm band, running slightly lean @ 4k. BUt its not to bad, considering i have pritty retarted ignition and im not makeing alot of hp.

i went to the track today. i had a few good runs, but mainly i was spinning all the way. i used my buddys wheels and tires and it was better than the 13 ' wheels but i still was peeling the rubber off the track from all the v8's slicks.

best time was 13.9 @ 95 mph, missed 5th. Best trap was 104mph but i launced shitty and ran a 14.2

ill post scans of the time slips and dyno later

What a pile.

Don't get me wrong, you might have a low 200 something whp car, but ----... it is rusting, ugly, and looks like some well trained monkeys put it together.
