I would like to make it clear to all of you what had happened in the process of this car acting like this. We are the ones who dynoed earlier that week and on the 14b turbo with everything stock except the exhaust and 19lbs of boost he made 290fwhp. So that is pretty impressive and he could spin all 4 tires when he had all of them working. As you all know the dsm is notorious for drivetrain failure and the way josh, the one in the video, launches his at 6700rpm it doesn't hold up very often. He is honestly the best dsm mechanic in wisconsin that I know of. And he actually ruined the center diff and it wouldn't engage the front wheels. He made a rwd transmission by welding the spider gears and enclosing the front axle holes, but as you could assume, it didn't hold up very well running like that. FYI, the reason the center diff took a sh*t is from leaving the viscous coupling eliminator in the transmision for daily driving.

haha, great ! That puts an end to this HMT quarrel. It's kinda sad though that the creator/ owner of the car that was in the vid had to come here to straighten it out though. lol. Welcome to the site and hopefully you'll stick around as a member instead of having to put us all in check

Here's a hint, the center differential is an open. If the brake bias is towards the front brakes, the rear wheels are the easier ones to spin, hence the "RWD" burnout.

I think you owe **** and apolagy, I like how you say awd confuses you but your arguing with two people who understand it.

Just arguing with what I know, which sometimes isn't enough, as is the case here. So I learned something new, and I got off my *** and tried to learned something, even if it did turn out to be the opposite. Even though this is just the internet, sorry for coming off like a ******** know-it-all.

Also, in regards to finding out exactly what happened, getting it straight from the source is always the best.
