Should i use a D16y7 with a vtec conversion or a D16a1 dohc for my 88 crx ?

Default Should i use a D16y7 with a vtec conversion or a D16a1 dohc for my 88 crx ?

I have both engines.I also want to turbocharge the car i have most of the turbo kit.

a1 wont just drop right in. it needs special mounts

the a1 came out of a integra. i think 89 i did not know it needed mounts.

d16a1 has the mount set up has the 84-87 crx.Doesnt come close to bolting in. That would be a dohc zc black valve 2nd gen jdm that bolts in

seriously, the 20 year old motor that doesn't bolt in is the obvious answer!

haha. Go with whatever is cheaper for you. If you already have a Y7 block, do that. If not Dzcs are fairly cheap.
