Should i swap trannies
Well as some of you may know my car as been boosted for about a month. But i just ran into a new problem. My rear main seal on my motor is leaking oil onto my clutch and causing it to slip. So my tranny has to come out so i can fix this seal. My buddy has a y8 tranny that came out of a 00 ex with 20,000 miles. He said he will sell it to me for $200 should i switch the the EX tranny or keep the shitty DX?

i just swapped a y8 tranny into my car friday. i had the dx tranny and it is a night and day differance. the gears are soooo long on the dx compared to the ex. i'm lovin it.
200 bucks isn't bad for that new of a tranny, i paid 75 for mine but it's out of a 95.

Ya i think im going to buy it. How hard would it be to replace the rear main and swap this tranny in? He told me he would charge me $150 to replace the seal and put the new tranny in. Or is it a pretty easy install??
