Hmm... read that for a bit. I'm not saying that all news stations are perfect. If there's someone telling you what news stories to report and what not, there's no doubt going to be a bias. That's why I generally hate the news, but dislike when people only show one side of things.

so.... they have SOME conservitives that work there... what a novel idea. they arent all liberal communists... amazing

they have democrats there who call the shots as they see them, and call dems wrong when they are... AMAZING.

no wonder foxnews is more successfull than all the other news networks combined.

Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting
From SourceWatch
Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting (FAIR) is a group that criticizes the fairness and accuracy of the news media from a left-leaning standpoint. It produces press releases and reports that document and criticize conservative media bias and censorship.

FAIR was founded in 1986. In some respects, it provides a counterbalance to Accuracy in Media, an older, right-leaning media watch group.

From SourceWatch
Jeff Cohen is the founder of Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting. He left briefly to produce the shortlived show Donahue on MSNBC. (MSNBC canceled the show when it was the highest-rated program on the network because of concerns that it might seem anti-war in light of the 2003 invasion of Iraq.)

Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting , founded in 1986, is a left-wing/progressive group that works against and documents alleged bias in the media and erroneous reporting.

the only "right wing" bias i see on foxnews is from commentary, which is completly legitimate. and they have lots of liberals on there all the time, why else would anyone watch if there werent big time liberals to stir the pot up.

i dont even think CNN, MSNBC, etc are the real big spinners, they are, but not as much as local news.

local news stations and ridiculously left wing, or maybe its just here in portland, oregon. but i doubt it

Yeah. I hate that ---- gets spun a certain way, because it dupes a lot of people (both liberal and conservatives) into thinking one way, which really sucks. I say that if people listen or read or watch one type of political commentary (news station, etc), they should at least try to get something from the other side. Ya Know? I think it's really stupid for those TV stations to not show those pictures and to put a spin on the war in one way. All I know is that I have things that I think should be a certain way, and it doesn't fall under conservative or liberal; I'm right in the middle. Take the war for instance. I don't want to get drafted, and I already have a brother over there. Kinda pisses me off, so I'm against our troops being there. Sorry, that was a bit of a rant and I know it didn't make much sense. It's 5 am here, and I gotta wake up in 4 hours. Go me!

As chief of facilities for D.C. public schools, Kifah W. Jayyousi oversaw painting, toilet repairs and other mundane upgrades to aging buildings. But federal agents now say the engineer had a secret life, as a member of a nationwide network that raised money and recruited Islamic militants for conflicts in Bosnia, Chechnya and other places.
