Default shipping a car across the US

2 things...

1) Anyone looked into shipping a car across the US? I might be in the usdm by the end of the year for good and its time to start looking for a new car. Insurance, cost, difference between covered and uncovered cars...etc. What does something like this cost? -Say from Cali to the midwest.

2) this recruiting thing is probably gonna happen, which is why i'm gonna be in the US sooner. Hopefully, i'll be close to home, which I'm from the sticks of Indiana and everything is rusted out. -if its not, they want an arm and a leg for it. I'm wanting a EG, prefered a B swap and the body must be mostly clean. I dont care about the interior, suspension, brakes, any of that ----. I cant wait to put a car together in the states and actually run it on a real track.

So yeah, anyone ever experience vehicle shipping and experiences?

I was planning on it, but my time is being cut short by a long shot...so long story short, I wont have the $$ to pay for a container. So, Ill just bring the parts back.

hit up Stealth, he will fly out to cali and rape your car all the way from cali to IN, for expenses and a night with your mother/wife.

I had my EG8 shipped from Torrance to WI but it was through my wife's work but it still ran me 750 in a semi trailer. I called around and didn't find anything under 1000 and that was uncovered. Having it brought back in something covered add like a couple hundred more. Not to mention alot of shippers won't touch cars that don't run so if you wanted to find just a shell. I'd say your almost better off just finding something and driving it back. WHy do you want it to have a b-series swap if your parting out both cars?

Just to make life that much more easy. I know its pretty much a straight drop in, but that would give me more to play around with. So around $1000-$1500 is what I would be looking at? ----...for that much, it might almost be just as easy to find a car in the midwest and have the rust fixed.
