Default Selling my rst project, building a d.....

Cracked the hot side of my t25 and was pissing blue smoke everywhere out of the downpipe.

SHe pulled pretty good though on 7psi. I wanted to make an mbc. Glad i didn't.

---- the car. I guess it wasn't meant to be. I'd be content with a honda. More support, cheaper parts, faster car.

420a can suck my dick and suck it hard. Atleast it didn't blow up. I thought i blew the head when i saw all that smoke. Oil is coked up all in the downpipe. I also found oil on the cold side of the turbo leading me to believe that i got hosed out of $50. I ran a fair sized restrictor (i didn't want to dump so much oil that the seals would blow but didn't want to deprive the journal bearing of oil either. I dont remember what size but it was big enough) and it still ---- on me.

Bye bye dsm. I'm hoping to get $3k for it and every single part i have for it (2 motors, 1 tranny, ps/ac ----, 2 extra intercoolers....blah blah). That should be enough to buy a d, tune it up and maybe get some go fast parts.....

I could buy a 16g and see what happens but the money i've dumped into this project has given me minimal return. It hasn't paid off and probably never will. Hopefully the new owner careens it into a tree and comes out unscathed because this ----- of a car needs to die. It fought me tooth and nail wanting to stay n/a and it bested me.

3000lb hunk of useless ----------......

Gotta have a rear seat...... I was thrown into the tuning scene on c-rexes. All of my highschool stoner buddies had one and none of them paid over a grand for the car and each one was fast as ----. I've seen them sprayed, boosted, all motor, swapped, stock..... Nice light quick car. I wanted one badly about 7 years ago but it's not practical for me. I'd much rather have an eg or ek hatch but will settle for a coupe/sedan if the deal is right.

The spark plug gapping statement he made leads me to believe he's a moron and if putting a new d in there is too hard for him, i'd be more than happy to ****** the car up and do it myself in my driveway. ----, i can get a head for free.... There's always d series parts at the shop since everyone thinks d and f series are trash.

Rice makes me puke.

Hard to wreck it/be a ricer with a car seat in the back. My girlfriend would kill me. She understands my car obsession but if i get another dsm, rx7 or 240, she's going to kick my ***. She's had three civics. All stock, never riced, probably raced though.... Two eks and the model that came out after the ek. All totalled (1 ambulance hit her, 1 crazy ex boyfriend and i dont remember what happened to her other one) and now she's stuck in an 03 jetta that she absolutely hates. The point was, she has no problems with me getting a honda because she's comfortable with them and swears by them.

The only kit i'd put on a honda is mugen replica or stock. I'd go no bigger than 16's as far as wheels go and a whole itr brake upgrade is in short order after i find a car.

I'll be putting a custom manifold of my design in ofcourse with a ching chong gt30 or holset of similar size, twin ching chong 35mm wastegates, ching chong fmic (biggest bitch that will fit), sard r2d2 or blitz dual drive bov, aic controller w/8 injector setup, (330cc primaries, 650cc secondaries), sheet metal large plenum variable runner intake manifold of my design, 2/3 bar map sensor, megasquirt, 1:1 fpr, lc1 wideband, nippon racing forged bottom end kit, crower 2 turbo cam, crower ti retainers, springs, my port and polish, v-band everything (no more ------- with couplers and bolt flanges again), custom sheet metal intake. I might go vtec, i might not. All i know is i want a rust-free d that makes plenty of power up top and saves the gas on the low end. I'll have somebody else tune it. By no means do i know what i'm doing. A little here and there is not enough and i'm not building an safc hacked stock boosted d.

That's a long list all off the top of my head but that's how it's going to be. Not a bad way to spend way less than i spent trying to turbo my stock 420a. ---- being different. That car blew and had very little potential. ----, it cost $10k to make 400 hp/tq and put it down reliably. Maybe more. I've seen engine builds that cost that much without the turbo, tuning and drivetrain mods.

Well, i may not be building a d.

Some guy wants to trade me straight up for a dc2.

Only thing i dont like about it is the amount of body work it needs.

The quarter panels are a bit rippled and creased so that's going to be a couple weeks of work. Plus, the fenders are beat and the hatch is pretty beat. I can glass a good bit of the car but i think carbon fiber is in the car's future along with a jdm type r front end.

It's an auto but you can eat off of the engine and the interior looks to be in great shape.

Car was stolen from him. He didn't beat it up like that.

It does have an auto as well. This is why i sold my first dc2. Body was in straight shape but the motor needed some freshing up and it was an auto. I didn't know about google search and ebay then though.

Straight up, should i trade or hold out for a sale and buy that red ek if it's still listed?

What would YOU do?

so you want to sell your eclipse for 3k but this guy wants to trade. thnk about this. that integra is not worth 3k maybe 1500 depending on where you live. but def not 3k

So stick with a d.

I've had about 6 people tell me not to go for the integra so far.

As far as cosmetics, i'm fucked out of about $3000 and a buttload of time.

As far as swapping in a 5 speed..... Well, i'll be lucky to crack the motor after a year or so.

No integra then. It would be a fine daily driver but so would a d. So i guess i'm not going to settle for anything less than a d-series eg/ek.

I've got a guy who is interested in trading me a white eg coupe for my car. Probably not worth it but right now, i'm just looking to dump the car and get started on something that will be worth a ---- after i put $4k into it and wont have me pulling my hair out. Body looks great aside from the passenger quarter by the wheel well. It can be fixed alot easier than that integra can. It comes with steelies, is pretty much stock and the interior is in ok shape. No cracks in the glass. Everything is there. I think it's lowered but i'm not sure. I'll have to call him. It's pictured with rota's on it so i'm going to try to talk him into including those. Slipstreams pwn.

No luck with the sale yet. I'm going to strap a 14b on next week and use a fat ------- return line made from part of the factory drain tube.....

I went to slap some 225/55/16" federals on the back of my car. It handles alot better now and the *** end doesn't want to come around when the roads are wet anymore under normal braking.

While at the tire store, they told me to move my car. I parked it directly infront of a d16 vtec motor. Complete with manifolds and wire harness. I asked, "how much for the vtak?"
"$300"

They're holding it for me right now. Hopefully i sell the bishi soon so i can pick up my motor, find a computer and find a chassis to put the thing in.

Alright. Making ----------in' progress

The guy with the silver teg also has a 98 lude and a 93 eg hatch.

He neglected to mention the hatch.

Tomorrow, i have some sand african american who tried to lowball me $1600 come to the house to look at the car. It's ------- filthy. I dont care. If i wake up early enough (he's comming by around 8.00am...douchebag), i'll throw some tire shine on, wash the windows, wipe the inside down and vaccum the carpets. I seriously told the dude for that much, i'd pull the motor and trans and he can fred flintstone the chassis home. EXACT WORDS. I told him, bring $2500 if you plan on test driving it and bringing it home whole. He asked a bunch of stupid ------- questions like "how many miles" and "is it nc inspected". I ------- listed that the egr was removed and was throwing a cel and i also listed my cat was hollowed out, also throwing a cel. I said 125k on the chassis, 1040 miles on the refreshed motor and about 3k on the trans, clutch, tob and shift fork, 10k on new axles, mtr mounts, struts and springs. He still ------- asked. I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up in a 747 tomorrow trying to rob my car from me with a box cutter.

Some stoner called right after he did. He's supposed to call around 11:00 am today. Busy, busy, busy......

If these two jokers dont want to pay me cash, i'm giving my car straight up for the civic. It's ugly but the glass is intact and it's not beat to ---- like the teg. All my dsm parts go with the car. I'm keeping most of my boost ---- such as my couplers, fmu, 2.5" piping, and bov. Hopefully, i will luck out, make a sale, buy the car for around $1500-1800 and have enough money left over for my v-tec motor, tag, title and whatever refreshing a 15 year old car needs. Selling my dsm parts (if the buyers dont want the ----) should pay for some of my new turbo kit, vitaras, arp's, acl's, and fjt rods.

Either way, i'm picking up my eg monday.
