It's true though. Who the ---- considers a sub-300hp car a supercar? Some people just need to find a big thick piece of string and get lynched.

With about $15-20K more, yes it might be considered a supercar.

A rotary is an unefficient motor. The common 2 rotor mazda is not 1.3 liters. Yes that might be the displacement with the rotor in there, but in the real world when it is running it is about twice that.

So now, 2.6 liters making 250HP turbocharged no less is not very efficient, nor powerful. They consume a lot of fuel for that amount of power they produce.

Who gives a ---- if it is effiecent or not, they rip and with just basic upgrades it will slay some serious cars on a track.

My experience with the wankel rotaries is pretty much limited to the older 12a's, but we used to take n/a 12a's to 300hp marks on just port work and massive rpm. If that's not efficiency from a motor the size of a beer keg I don't know what is. Besides, an idle that resembles a chainsaw just kinda gives me chills up my spine

Don't get me wrong, their physical size can't be contended. It's the displacement.

I don't hate rotaries, they are awesome engines and sound even better. They are so light. I want to put one on a small go-kart and a 2 or 3 speed small tranny.
