Sell my car for a FD?

Sell my car for a FD?
Yes, this is another "sell my car or keep it" thread.
These past few weeks i've had a few guys ask me if I'd sell my Honda. As ive told some of you, Honda's are somewhat a rare site with Americans especially the ones that are built, as everyone thinks skylines, 180's and Silvias are a gift from god. (though the SR20 is pretty dam sweet, ---- a skyline) So a Honda that rolls around that can swing 9500rpms all night long, pull out of a turn at 180kph and stick to the road like glue is a rare sight, and quite frankly people drool over the car.
So yeah, my car is as follows as it sits has pretty much nothing untouched. Suspension, engine, tranny, brakes, caged, wheels...everything. If I keep my car its probably going to get a turbo and some better suspension in the spring.
============================================
The FD that im looking at has some parts as well that I can tell...
-It has a single turbo, turbo aftermarket...I couldnt tell what it was
-ported motor, not 100% sure though, neither was the car lot guy, said he thinks it is, but it came form mainland and he wasnt sure.
-aftermarket radiator
-aftermarket intercooler
-I believe it has some sort of tune on it, im sure it does with the aftermarket turbo
-Solid engine mounts
-Straight through exhaust
-HKS suspension
-Bride brix seats (2)
-Apexi gauges
and probably some other ---- that im missing. This was just a 'once over' look at it.
I would be buying the car for pretty much what I could sell my civic for, so it would be a pretty even trade when it comes down to it. I'm not looking to drop a LS1 or any other motor in it, I will keep it rotary, plan to set it up for grip, might throw a set of beater tires on it every once in a while and throw it around a little bit, but I enjoy gripping so thats what I will do.
What is HMT's opinion?
No pics right now, maybe tonight.

Re: Sell my car for a FD?
The FD is ultimately a far nicer car then the honda, alot more special, at the very least. I'm just scared of the pitfalls associated with owning a rotary. If you aren't scared of the potential costs of rebuilds and more expensive parts, go for it.
At least take the damn thing for a good test drive.

The conception of a busted rotary is a thing of the states IMO. I'm not scared at all of the motor, im more scared of the lack of knowledge I have. I have a few friends who have built and tuned 13b's and getting help and knowledge isnt a thing im scared of. The friends I have with rotarys and have been driving them for a few years now, same tune and far from stock. Im not scared of the motor at all. The thing that scares me is my lack of knowledge. Not the motor breaking down.

Re: Sell my car for a FD?
Underhood temps can be a problem. A vented hood and a good radiator is a good thing. It has both.
The problem with the apex seals relies in the tune. Im not worried about getting it tuned, there are PLENTY of people here who can put a tune on it. an apex seal is $30 per seal, needs 6. Ive had friends tell me theyve gone out for a tuning night, fucked a seal up, come home and rebuild the motor and finished the tune all in 6 hours time.
They are very touchy/very sensitive. A honda, you nail the ---- out of it, it runs a little lean, you contiune on...you do that with a rotary and your fucked. Its all within the tune.
