Yup. We haven't had one of those for several decades.

Just have to disengage our military from the looting action in the middle east... hard to sell that one to the current President.

It's an artificial stimuli of the economy. Where does all the money for war come from? The government and guess what they are just printing more of it cause they ain't got none either.

America has gotten too superficial. Credit is superficial.
If you can get a credit card now get one, start building credit as soon as you can. Just buy stoopid stuff with it and pay in full every month, it costs you nothing in interest and you actually get the cc companies protection if somone trys to screw you on something you buy.

The bank is "bailing these companies out" but isn't the government just buying the companies while and because they value is super low, and they can sell them back in the open market once the market rights itself? You know buy low sell high.

$700b doesn't seem that low. And I think it would be more purchasing assets as they are publicly traded firms?

I blame inbreeding for failure to produce children that can see through the complexities of 30 second commercials.

Too many ppl let the television raise their children instead of doing it their ------' selves. My ol lady says ---- from time to time about putting our old(and only) television in my sons room when he has his own. I just laugh. I hope she doesn't really think that's gonna happen. Yes, common sense tells a person that TV is just entertainment, but when a person has been in front of a television their ENTIRE life, they never develop that common sense to begin with. My lil boy will be playing outside and watching his dad drink beer while working on and swearing at the car...in other words, the finer things in life.
