Default seatbelt ticket

so, in some states, if you are pulled over but are wearing your seatbelt, you wont get the ticket. is it true in washington?

i've looked up the rcw and read it and a lot of other articles on it yet dont know if its fightable or not in washington.

heres what happens, pig pulls me over for no seat belt. when he walks up i have my seatbelt on. he tint checks my windows, which are at 10%, not the legal 35%, my address on my licencse is not up to date and my registration isn't signed and i was speeding, 35 in a 30. ****** takes his merry time, and i'm late for work mind you. hands me a seat belt ticket for 101 and takes off. this was a state patrol on a random *** side road that they are never on, only local cops, which have repeatedly not given a ---- about my windows, speed, or seat belt. i've literally had the locals look over at me without a seat belt on, see it off, and keep driving. to me this is bullshit. the problem is, 100 court fee, or 101 ticket. i'm ------- jewed by johnny law.

so yeah, anyone know of a way to get around this horseshit. and yes i do know i'm lucky for not having the other bullshit on my ticket as well.

just pay the ticket. if you pay the court fee, you still might have to pay the ticket. remember, the court is on the cops side most of the time

so he pulls you over for no seat belt. but you were able to get it on before he got there? but you didnt argue that you had it one? ill tell you a story my friend. my cusoin got pulled over same thing without wearing a seat belt but put it on before the cop showed up. witch they argued back and forth for about 5 min weither he had it on or not. basically his word v yours. as long as you say you had it on it. you got a pretty good chance your not going to get a ticket or will get it droped. saying the cop is a liar and was no where near me to even tell if i had it on. just wanted to pull me over other reasons.

JESUS CHRIST!!! i'm never going to washington

here in missouri they don;t pull you over for no seatbelt, and they don;t pull you over for tint ( usually, unless they know that you are prolly doing something wrong) and seat belt ticket is 10 bux.

i got pulled over once last summer for speeding, ****** said i was going 58 in a 35, i was like, uh no i wasn;t.

looked all over my car trying to find something wrong, i had my seatbelt on, he kept trying to trick me into saying that how fast i was really going because i actually was speeding but i'm not retarded enought to say " no i wasn;t going 58 i was going 45 in a 35". but yea, thats gay

am I the only one who thinks wearing a seatbelt is the law is STUPID.

if I decide NOT to wear my seatbelt then that's my decision. If I get thrown from the car I have to live/die w/ the consequences. Not wearing your belt hurts NOBODY but yourself, so why make it a law

I've had many friends actually get hurt MORE from the belt then if they didnt have it on (and now they dont wear it).

I agree... it should be your choice, unless you're sitting in the back seat (you can fly up and damage the people in the front seat)...

Yes, seatbelts save lives, but so do helmets. In PA, you're allowed to not wear your helmet when riding a motorcycle... but yet I have to wear a seatbelt? Don't get me wrong, I wear a seatbelt regardless but I think that is idiotic
