the music industry does bad things for music, but with out them, we woudn't be able to buy cds. and cds woujld sound like ---- because there wouldn't be record companies to front huge recording and producing bills

I agree 100%. I hate country with a flaming passion, but the same applies to all genres of radio. They play the same homoginized crap over and over and over and over again all day, every day. God forbid a rock station play a deep track every now and then, since they don't have the time. They have to play Green Day 'when september ends' for the 113th ------- time of the day instead... issed at the music industry in general:

Yea this is actually why its a hard question. I think the "major 4" (sony, Time warner, BMG,EMI i think.)labels are useless. They only breed crap for 15 year old girls to buy because mtv says its cool. This is also the crap which floods the radio stations. For example Fall Out Boy they suck but for some reason they are popular. The RIAA is the biggest joke i ever heard of. Did you know they sued rio in the late 90's for developing the first portable mp3 player. Now almost all the Itunes services income goes directly to the RIAA. There are a few record labels I like though. Solidstate seems like they consistantly have good bands.

You have no idea here in denver the local "metal/hard rock" station plays emenem. They also play the same 5 metalica songs over and over. I dont think they played any new metal songs since 1992. Radio sucks.
