Saab's APC in a ghetto setup?
Has anyone looked into using the Saab APC system in a ghetto setup? Rather than retarding the ignition when detonation is detected it reduces the boost, but if setup properly you should also be able to use it as an electronic boost controller
Just wondering if anyone has looked into this or not. Going to see if i can pull a ssytem out of a 9000 on the weekend.

Indeed that is the thing
Looks like you can get it working on other cars, this is what it apparently does (well what i can figure out any way)
You can use it as a boost controller
It will release the boost when it detects knocking
It will dump the boost when the brakes are used
Lets see if i can get it working ... the poor mans Electronic boost controller ... here i come

Pin 19 also grounds for 0.5 seconds when knock is detected... run a 12V LED to it, you'll have to add a pin somehow as there isn't one in the OEM harness despite the fact the APC performs this function.
