You can get complete rebuild kits for under $300 through Transtar. If its an S1 you're cool, if its a YS1 you need to distinguish if it has a dial type 2nd gear syncro or a normal blocker ring style. Than if you gotta pay to get it rebuilt double that.

I wouldn't take less than $100 if I were selling it, I'll tell you that much. I'd most likely want more. I say go to the bank and find a super crisp $100 bill and put it in front of his face and see what he says. If he says he wants more tell him you're have to think about it because rebuilding it isn't gonna be cheap and that you'll call him later. Walk away slow and see if he comes to you for that bill.

Im my opinion if fourth is fucked id be pretty weary.....imagine what the other gears have undergone.

Do you really think the gears are taking the abuse or the blocker rings? I wouldn't be worried at all.

gears take the abuse, why I'll only install LSD's into B's.

Ouch...if that's what I have to look forward to, I think I'll just get a hydro/cable conversion and get a new trans...something alot newer :P

S1 what? JDM B16 S1 or USDM LS S1? theres 2 different types. if its an LS tranny it isnt worth even wasting time talking it apart. if its a B16 its still not worth the time, they go for 3-400 in good shape.
