i have heard of people getting decent numbers with that setup.

like not dead on but a ballpark.

I found this dyno 2000 thing..Looks like it would work but I dont know how accurate it is..

well for that price its almost as ifyou have to because if it does work youll have your own dyno...
If it doesnt well youll have a nice looking computer screen to show you buds!

I have the road dyno version for $110. Works great, definitely worth the money. You can do a lot with it that can not be done on a stationary dyno, like cold air intakes for example, which really become effective at speed.

Another point about dynos. You shouldn't be using dyno figures from any dyno simply to be establishing absolute HP numbers, they should be used for tuning and back to back tests changing single variables.

The home/road dynos are good at comparing things, like if you did like 3 pulls with one intake and then 3 pulls with a different one. With all other variables the same, any changes in the curve can be attributed to the modification.

Even if you set the weight of the car incorrectly, if you left it the same for all the pulls, the results will still be pertinent.

Definitely not a bunk idea.
