Rifle scope question
I found an old Bushnell 3-9-32 scope I used on an air rifle a few years ago. I know these things are designed to handle the backwards recoil of an airgun, but would there be a problem using such a scope on a real rifle such as my Mauser?
The scope is one of these: http://www.bushnell.com/general/rifl...an_72-0039.cfm

Re: Rifle scope question
My options are retarded *** scout mounts that go where the rear sights are, forcing me to use a handgun scope, or a b-square small ring Mauser weaver mount that requires drilling and tapping of the receiver and heating and bending the bolt handle some more.

I guess that's the one I need. If not I'll have to fab an adapter up or something to use that.

Re: Rifle scope question
Get a long eye relief scope if you really are bothered by having to use the scout mounts, it makes it easier. And why scope the Mauser? Are you already dead on at 100yds or do your eyes not work out that far? I'd have to get one for my Nagant if I want to go past 150 because my eyes stop seeing the holes at that range, but I'd never try to shoot one farther anyways.
