Rickys tired of hondas, time for the sr20det!
I still keeping my 00 civic si, but im gearing it to be a high 14's daily driver. i will be keeping my t3/t4 from my rev kit and intercooler and stuff.
the plan??
to purchase a used solid body blown motor nissan 240sx. preferably 89-93 in good condition. swapping a full s13 sr20det in it. then changin that ----- *** t25 it comes with to a t3 flange custom 3inch stainless dp and exhaust. act clutch and putting down 20psi on it.
im aiming for a nice 12 second car that can drive straight as well as at 120 making turns.
the whole picture??
figuring i have most of the pieces i need and that i already have my eyes on the perfect donor car.
about 5G or less on a 12 second fake sylvia. doing a body conversion and all, painting it solid pearl white.
what do you guys think? hondas are just getting old for me.

blah I hate 240's.. even if they did have power the cars are still gay. I work on them all the time and they dont impress me at all.
Why not go with a TT 300zx? or a FWD SER Sentra?

pretty much just cost jeff. i would really love the 300zx. i want to build something that will run 12's handle nicely and not involve me cuttin up sleeves and rebuilding with gods graces.
you know them motors handle the boost like champs.
i agree though, its a wierd looking car, however mine shall be PIMP!!!!

Hey I just found out about this site yesterday and like what I see!! My question is I own a '91 nissan 240sx super HICUS and want to turbo the 2.4L twin cam engine, and would like to know if any one has done this? I realize this is a Honda site but there are other good cars too, so please no BS about why I don't own a Honda.

Yeah it's been done, "Modified Mag" is doing it as their current project car. Pick up their March '03 issue to see them get started (just putting clutch on it and laying out the plans).

Bah.. My roommate has 2 240SXs, he's turboing one of his KAs, and he's going to SR the other one.. I think the whole "240" thing is overrate anyway. They're big heavy cars. Plus, you're talking about a market of modification that is going to cost you a years salary for OE replacement oil cap. There just isn't a market in the US for 240s. I know this first hand..
But, whatever, when my SOHC is done, and I'm running 13s, and you and my roommate and sitting on the side lines because you're waiting for your exhaust manifolds to be floated over by bost form Japan.. We'll see who's laughing.

In case you havn't noticed there is a rather large number of people modifying 240's not quite as many as the honda camp but its getting there. You can turbo a KA24D(E) rather easily homade style just exhaust manifold might cost ya a nice penny as there is no universal style STD manifold used on honda's. It would be same basic routine in installing a homade turbo kit on a honda cept well on a 240. If you cant find any information here PM me or you can find the NICO forums on www.240sx.org there you would find information on all 240's including the crazy monster AWD RB26DETT S13. Have fun
