You missed the best part of racing a ricer, the excuse. He probably would have said, "My car is so overpowered that it just spun." I once got "I blew up my tranny" but was still driving after we raced and I saw him crusing that night.

My experience taught me that if somebody actually says that their car is fast, they'll run a 15 at best. Its the kids that say their car is slow and sounds like it can barely idle is what you need to watch out for. A person who actually has a fast car would never flat out say they had a fast car...if you car is fast than the car itself will do the bragging, talk is cheap

I always say, "it'll do high 15's low 16's...what do you expect its only a 4 cylinder"

I hate ricers. How the hell could you possibly try to pass your car as running 9's and then go race someone to prove your a dumbass? I have seen too many of those people. I see this one ---- head ricer in a 4 door Civic who is always driving like an idiot thinking his damn near stock car is fast. He even reved on me in my grandpa S10 the other day. I pulled up next to him in my Civic a while back and he got all excited and started reving his shitbox and asked me what all was done to my car. I said "Basically just a turbo". His eyes about fell out of his head and he said "Cool". I let him get a jump off the light because I knew he was going to TRY to pull on me. He got about 2 full car lenghts ahead and I hammered it and just as I shifted to second I was passing by his window with the RHL blowing like a mo fo. I think I scared him. I was stoked.

ricers suck. I raced my bro's TSi (awd/turbo) from a roll on w/ my non-turbo CRX Si and beat him I am supposed to race one of his friends who has a 2wd/non-turbo talon that has a CO2 intake cooler with my turbo civic. gheyness, that kid is getting smoked.

There's a kid here in town who asked me how my car was doing one night at Denny's. I wasn't boosting yet so it was only a low 17 at the time and he was like "----, what's wrong with your car? that's terrible! I do a 13.5 or lower!" and I'm like, what the ---- do you have? He had a 1991 tempo. It was the 1.9 sohc with a wing, steelies on the front, and the engine painted green. It said Ford Performance on the intake or valve cover or something I don't remember. Maybe this was supposed to be a reasonable engine. Then, he started with the oversized pistons that raised the compression when it was rebuilt by the guy who had it before him... you know, the usual. Of course, I called him out on it and was like, OK, lets race (to this day he has not been able to) and he said he didn't want to waste his time because it was basically a SHO motor but the four cylinder version. I asked if it was a Yamaha enigne with tuned variable intake plenums and split runners and he was like, no, it's SHO. Oh. So yeah, I've seen a kid blow his tranny beating on a tempo once only to run 20. something. I was pissed. This little ---- tells me how slow my car is all the time. Even now that I'm turboed. Last time we all met up to go race, his brakes didn't work good enough to race because he stopped fast from some ridiculous speed (speedo to 85mph only) and his friends were like yeah, leave him alone, quit wasting his time... goddamn ---- I was pissed.
