The man that gave us the Federal Trade Commission, Clayton Antitrust Act, Revenue Act of 1913 dropping taxes on trade 15%, and the Federal Farm Loan Act. Still floating many farmers today. You know... Agriculture is our #1 export every year running for what a hundred years plus?
CspecRun that's nothing. I know a hundred successful small family farmers. Anything grows down here. You know who they go looking at to provide both loans and compensation, and less experianced ones ask for advice in what to grow? Federal Government...
TorganFM I have a great great aunt who just died at 95+, owned 500+ acers and had over 1mill in the bank since before I was born. All family farming, then share cropping when her husband died. Grand parents, two great uncles, they share crop, great uncle farms 80 acers, uncle has a 6-7 acers he farms.
Aint anything stopping anyone from farming but the will to do it. Have land in a good location, know what you're doing and own a tractor of some sorts. Doesn't need to be some $300,000 do all. Most of the old people farming enjoy their 1930's and 50's tractors.

Where in any post have you seen me advocate a government RUN economy. That is a PLANNED ECONOMY.
Examples of a planned economies would be the failed USSR, People's Republic of China 1949-1978, Current North Korea.
Myself, and the a Democratic party's economic goal is not a PLANNED ECONOMY. It is a REGULATED FREE-TRADE economy. Yet another person fails by trying to tout stupid ---- the Democrats do not believe in.
Working free-trade economies with government supplied regulation to keep crooks in-check?
Babylonia, Ancient Greeks, Romans, Spain, Portugal, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands.

our GDP is aprox same as the entire EU. with less people
350mil here 500mil in the EU
our economy is the best the world has ever seen.
