Its the famous Detonation you are hearing, sorry to tell you, but you need to be richer, the reason it does this why the charge pips arent connected is because the restrictive exhaust, ive talked to a few people about this, it did the same thing on my car, i didint know what it was, but then i got more into cars and ----, its detonation.. try adding more fuel (changing your jets) and it will probably stop, unless you dont have an intercooler..
