and 700 million barrels is what is publically known. who knows how much is stored just for the government. but if we have such an abundance of reserve oil, why is it not being broken out for the war? and how come so little might be broken out to give for relief to the hurricane emergency spots?

read this: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5015445

why dont we use our reserves for the war are you a ------- moron? we are at war in hte most oil rich area in the world, why the hell would we use our own oil?

we are only giving a little to teh Hurricane rescue effort because all the Gas staions are either without power and cant pump gas. or they are in water which keeps them from opening thier tanks to get refilled

(edited my post both for sake of sanity and the fact that i cooled off after)

problem is we're not gaining anything from war in the richest oil area in the world. OPEC still controls all of this oil, and even they are admitting oil prices are out of their control. they're are full steam, and the world still demands more.

This one's just community to get some of the BS classes out of the way. I'll be going to SRU next year, probably living on campus and selling that crap can of a car I'm driving.

Gas up by me in north east PA jumped up fast the last 2 days. Tuesday night it was still at 2.69/gallon for regular and 2.99 for 92 octane. Yesterday it jumped up to 2.99/regular in the afternoon, and now today was 3.19/regular and 3.49 for 92 octane. Still had about half a tank in my hatch, topped it off and spent $35 in 92 octane. It might be a Honda 4 cylinder, but it still goes fast when you have to drive 80 miles a day to work

colorado= $3.20/gal. and some stations are as high as $3.89/gal. with an expected increase of .14-.21 a day for who knows how long, what a crock of ----, im ready to go to war, with the oil industry, the governments job isnt to worry about who funds there campaigns and $500 hammers and what not, isnt that why we pay taxes? which have been going up as well, the government needs to protect the interests of the people and put a stop to this madness, if you cant see that the downfall of mankind, (some would call it the apocilypse) will be crude oil, then you are a moron, a lot more is at stake then filling up at the pump, this could destroy the u.s. economy, when that happens, all hell brakes loose abroad, and "life" as we know it will cease to exist.......
