---- it if you get pulled over they will just make you get it towed professional from that spot. So you will be closer and get it done cheaper.

Yeah, they won't let you tow anything with a rope on the highway/freeway.

I always just cross my fingers and hope I make it from point A to point B.

Ouch man, I know that towing is expensive. 65 to hook up, 75 if you want a flat bed and then avg. is 3.50 a mile, that crap adds up quickly. I've got a budy w/a big dodge and a flat bed that I've used before but AAA will tow you in the middle of the night, my friends won't.

ok heres some good info on aaa sense i used to work for them
1. they will not tow u car if its modified
(i.e) lowered,rims,exhust..what ever
2. basic membership blows donkey ***** you get 5 free miles then its 2-3 dollars a mile
3.plus membership u get 3 calls a year.. if there tows there coverd only upto 100miles and dollies are extra
or flat bed is also extra

so all and all its a good program for cars that are stock

your information is not totally correct, nor is it the same in every state.

In oregon basic membership covers 3 miles or to nearest safe place to park the car, or to AAA shop doing repairs, depending on distance etc.

Plus membership is 3 tows 100 miles each.

Also, I've borrowed AAA plus memberships before and they towed my car 60 miles, with almost a 2" drop. Wont tow modified cars?

How much would it be to rent a U-haul car dolley for a few hours and find someone with a hitch to haul it? $10 or $20 for their time and a full tank of gas?
