if you read the thread i did not attack boost. i stated facts, even more facts than what are there now because he deleted multipal posts of mine.
i stated correctly that hypers are mostly for high comp NA engines. i also stated correctly that hypers will last longer than forged alum because of the slap/ring wear/cylinder wall wear of forged alum because of expansion.
and also that i thought hypers were better than "off the shelf" forged alum pistons because if you do not mate forged alum pistons to the cylinders they will increase all the normal problems of forged.
also:
forged alum = race engine
and lets put it this way, if you're making 400whp out of a 1.6l i4 which has what around 120whp stock? thats a race engine... even if its in a DD. thats still almost 4x the power output the engine is made for.
hypers = better for longetivity and dailies, even boosted engines and no2 engines (eg turbo/no2 ls1/ls2/GT motors ext that have hypers stock)
