well, if it helps, for my buildup, ill be using an oil pressure gauge and cranking like 20 times of 10-15 seconds to make sure oil flows through everything

yeah, it's fine. i've just seen too many trashed oil pumps and such from people not priming them. same goes for rods, i've seen people use no lube and crank away until it starts, like 20 seconds of metal to metal contact

No the flange is a BMC racing 1/2" stainless weld flange. Yeah we primed it pretty good, we were getting over 60psi oil pressure before we actually tried to make it run.

good numbers, anything harder than 70mph highway in my ford with straight oil stabilizer in there sees 18psi at any rpm. 20w50 oil gets me 4psi

i think i need some new bearings, i replaced the oil pump when i got it, primed it as much as possible, prev owner never changed the oil.
