I tried doing what you want on my EJ8 and didnt work the Si lip is a lil longer and if its after market the lip that slides on top of the "bumper mouth" is to small. Notice the mouth size diff in 96-98 and 99-00 bumpers. Just get one off ebay for your year save yourself from a headache and waste of time.... Or you can waste your money and put a 99-00 civic front end on there. :P
