I would say if the dealer wants to get rid of the car he will make a deal with you. I've seen plenty of dealers give OVER trade-in value just to sell a car. They will still sell your car for more than what they pay you for it so ---- it. They make money selling you the car and they make money buying your car when they sell it.

It all comes down to how long your mullet is at the time you try to buy that vette. :1

Pretty sure you don't pay taxes on a car if you trade in a car worth more than the one you're purchasing.

they deduct the sales tax, is what i meant. then you have to get a plate and ----, plus final dealer fees. the remaining difference is then written as a check to you. if a car is 10k sticker, thats 10,600 (in my state, county), plus the 100 or so between plate/title/transfer/, dealer fees can be $50 or $750, or anywhere in between. trade-in is subtracted from sticker usually, not after fees (cheaper for you, actually). check gets cut for the difference . TECHNICALLY you don't pay anything since you're gettin a check, you paid it with your trade-in when you bought/modded/kept it.
