YOU GUYS FORGOT ABOUT ONE MAJOR CONTRIBUTING FACTOR TO THE DIFFERENT TIMES..........ELEVATION !!! sEA LEVEL MAKES A DIFFERENCE AND I HATE WHEN I SEE PEOPLE SAY I MY CAR RAN THIS AND SOMEONE ELSE SAYS THEY RAN SOMETHING DIFFERENT THEN BLAME IT ON DRIVING AND ----!! IF I TOOK MY CAR TO CALIFORNIA RIGHT NOW AND CLOCKED IT.....IT WOULD BE ABOUT A FULL SECOND OFF THE 1/4 MILE TIMES!!!! WHY DONT PEOPLE THINK OF THIS FIRST

I had a friend with 91 CRX Si, D16A6 I/H/E and mild Web cam, he was as fast as my 89 HF w/ LS @ 5 psi. I figure low 14's.
He blew a headgasket in the car by overheating it, swapped the cam and such over to two different D16A6, but it was never the same again, the other engines felt weak.
It really does depend on engine particulars, tuning, and driver. High or mid 14's aren't anything amazing out of a mostly stock NA D16A6 if everything comes together really well. Your horrible 60' times really kill off your ET, as the only place you have enough torque to really pull hard is down low. Work on the launch and it'll be a happy thing.
Oh, yeah, bolt on a turbo. :>

i think you might be a ------- idiot. the USDM 1990 CRX Si came with the d16a6 from the factory. or maybe i misunderstood your post.

No dyno numbers yet, but 13psi @ 3600rpms speaks for its self... WRX TURBO RULES !!! Too bad the SVO 60-trim is already lined up..

if you're worrying about your chamber not being perfect to get a better time you shouldn't be drag racing that car.

how is it embarrassing to run a 15 s 1/4 time i'm actually quite proud of it and know its got more left and i build the whole motor by myself and installed all the mods so i'm happy with it right now. so **** off

it's cool red_si everyone expects you to run 11's and 12's daily because lots of people seem to have a lot of money to spend on their cars and can do motor swaps and turbos and upgrade the turbos every month or so, which i don't have a problem at all with but, too many people get ---- for not running as quick as other people on this forum. Not everyone has the money to do some easy stuff such as swaps and turbos, me and my friend were proud when we took a stock 18-19 second four cyclinder honda civc hx coupe and made it run a 15.9, i agree with red_si "**** off" random strike.
