ok, i have a slim line pstwo... i want to use the HDD loader or USBEXTREME with an external hd via usb... are there certain harddrives that are only compatable this way, anyone else do this? i basically wanna buy everything, get all my current games on it, then sell the games to make my money back. anyone got steps to what to do? will this even work wtih the new slim pstwo? any tips or suggestions? thanks

i'd rather download games, do you mean rent to put on the HD then play them? i buy games cuz i like to play them longer then 7 days

dude then the hard drive is irrelivent.......the purpose of the hard drive is to rent games, save them, and return them like normal use..... i always wanted a hdd for my ps2 but never got to it......ps3 is out soon so rethink what you are going to do.......

xbox360 is out, do u see me rethinking? its just something i wanna do no matter what, having ALL my games on 1 drive rather then a huge CD case of games seems much more easier/fun to play games, and exactly my point, rent any game, save it, return it. bam new games all day long for 5 bux each...

im gonna do it regardless, if it dont work, ill reformat the hd and use it with my laptop for vids/movies and all torrent downloads... but ill keep you posted, cuz every site i go on says its compatable with ANY ps2 with no need to doublecheck ps2 model, and plug n play with any usb hd above 40gb... the cd is on most modchip sites for around 40 bux shipped with no modchip needed to run the usbextreme hd loader cd. use pc to load games from dvd drive to usb hd, or if its an iso use alcohol120 to mount it, then run it to the hd from there... seems self explanitory but i was lookin for personal input. i guess ill be the guinne pig and let u all know how it works.

ok i get ya. i have a mod chip for my xbox. got very close to getting it to work, and then the unthinkable happened. my router i was using as a crossover fell directly on my hdd. so i pretty much scraped the box and havent gotten one since(2 years). usb is so much easier and a disk only to activate it is sweet. no chips, wires, plugs, or routers to worry about.....keep it goin and postin.......

kirk, sorry i dont know anything bout the slim ps2's but i have hhd for my o.g. ps2, and yeah i just wait till i get free cupons from blockbuster then rent a game and burn it (so i play for free) but check this site out it might help? www.ps2hd.com
