Default Project MR2 Turbo upgrade

Well I finally got to install a few parts I picked up over the winter for my MR2. I got a new upgraded CT-26 with a 60trim wheel, downpipe, G-Force ECU, manual boost controller, and cap & wires. It was a bitch to work on as it's pretty tight in the engine bay. The pics aren't that great but here you go.

As you can see, it's tight!

Heat sheild and charge pipes removed.

The new turbo

Old and new turbo, just a bit larger.

Couple pics of the downpipe beside the factory one with the cat.

I removed the turbo from the manifold as one of the nuts on the head to the manifold was being a bitch and I didn't have a torch and I didn't want to take the chance of breaking it. Doing it this way caused me to say ---- a lot more compared to removing the manifold with the turbo attached.

The new turbo installed

Downpipe installed with o2 sensor

Engine bay pics. As you can see I polished up the charge pipes and valve cover for a little bling bling. The wires are OEM and the larger red hose came on my "Two's R Us" manual boost controller

I'm really impressed with the car! I'm running about 16.5 psi of boost and it pulls awsome. I estimate HP around 240 or 250 at the wheels, hope to get it on the dyno soon but I need a new clutch first as she's slipping a bit. A Spec Stage 2 kit is on it's way. Hope you guys enjoy the pics, I'll try to answer any questions you have.

Thanks Whitey, I'm using the stock CT-26 wastegate. It's not on it in that pic cause I removed it to polish the compressor housing.

Spensor, it's a 91.
