Project:De-rice the rice rocket. PICS!!!! updated 2-10-08
For those that didn't see my "is it worth it" thread. This is the update to it, and I will probably be periodically bumping this thread up as I keep going on the car.
The story of this car goes as follows: A guy built this 1995 Civic CX hatch purely for show while living in California, he then moved to Fargo, ND and sold the car to a kid for 7K 2 years ago, this kid has since beat the ---- out of the car (ripped out 1 monitor while pissed off, punched the steering wheel monitor while pissed off, blew up the stereo, busted up the body kit, painted random interior ---- blue, etc...). So, I'm looking for a hatch and stumble upon this one (the kid told me it was a 93, title is for a 95, only has 90K on the chasis) and the kid says he'll sell it for 1K "because the motor is blown." I say "what the hell, I'm up for a PROJECT!!!!" and give the kid a grand. Turns out the "blown motor" was just a vac. leak and I have a perfectly good B16 swap that I will be selling locally and using the money to build a D16.
Now on to the pics (thumbs) or her in all of her riced out glory (the rims that I have stacked up are the ones I pulled from the car and will be selling):
And I put in an hour of work tonight (the piles of ---- is mostly ---- off this car):
CLIFFS NOTES: I bought a riced out car from a dumb kid and I'm going to turn it into a full track car by selling ---- off of it to build it my way.

Yea, I put a set of stock CRX wheels on and raised it to tow it home because I was under the impression that the engine was blown.
D pride, I've got an assload of D parts, and when they break they are cheaper to fix/replace.

I'd go buy some rattle can black asap though
eBay would love that car though. But defintely a nice find, you defintely got more than 1k worth in the deal. Hell you could sell those wheels for about half that :P
Oh and that gauge cluster is homo for a guy to own, was the previous owner a dude too?

I'm the 3rd GUY to own this car now. And along the lines of paint, the roof already says "PAINT ME!!!" in flat black. But I'm actually going to be doing all the mechanical ---- this winter and painting it the stock red in the spring.

ahaha... you need to take some pics of the paint me y0! Evewn though red is not my favorite color, I can see why you chose it though, it's nice to have the car color match inside out.
Definitely keep up posted on this chit. I can't wait til the car is pretty again. Too bad I don't have that SiR rear hatch anymore, you could have really used it.

Shouldn't be a very hard project. Just start selling everything that you can. hardest thing will be moving all the ricer parts when you are in Fargo. Minneapoils/St. Paul has enough ricers.
