pretty quick hatch

Re: pretty quick hatch
I guess there is just no way to prove to you that it is his setup other than me asking this: this guy is my competition, why would I stand up for him if he was lying about his setup?
Those are pics from when they were still building the kit/first installing it in the car.
Here are some more build pics:

More, also if you look closely, there isn't a problem with the flange, there aren't any bolts actually holding the turbo on, they are just through the turbo at an angle and just kind of sitting in the flange at an angle, the turbo just needs to slide foreward a little bit to line up with the flange.

Re: pretty quick hatch
thanks for throwing up more pictures lol. makes the car look a whole lot sexier. isnt that a 4" downpipe. and that turbo does look pretty big for a d-series lol. is there a reason why he doesnt get a b-series engine? because its crazy how nice of a setup he has on a engine worth a fraction of the price.

Vehicle specs:
Stock motor, stock head @ 10 psi went 12.2@113
Eagle rods, 9:1 CP pistons, stock head @18 psi went 11.7@123
Turbo is a T3 housing. Turbo manifold flange is a T3/T4 combo flange that is why the outter bolt holes are not being used as they are a T4 bolt pattern.
Track prep @ these street legal events is pretty pathetic 60' were 1.9's, and the car was spinning a bit into 2nd as well, being rev'd to 8k, shifting is being done based on mph as we haven't been able to find a EX/SI cluster yet and this vehicle is a CX w/ no tach.
My own hatch last year stock bottom end, stock head @ 10 psi went 11.92@113 on a 57 trim @ a good track. 60' were consistent 1.67-1.75.
Current setup on a good track i wouldn'y be suprised to see 11.3-11.4's. Currently its just running a rough street tune done on Crome so there's more to be had there as well.

Although it seems stupid, just think about it, a really smooth bend measuring 2 5/8" wouldnt flow better than something decently smooth measuring 3 1/8". When you cut a piece of tubing at an angle, it makes the hole bigger than 3". When you mandrel bend a piece of tubing, it shrinks the ID of the pipe a bit. So the bigger inside diameter of the pipe maked up for the wall smoothness. just for you john, I'll find a source for this info, hold on.
