I have a welded d16a6 head beau aka blacksi welded up for me a long time ago. I ported the head just need a valve job. I was going to try for a low 13 sec all motor d street driven but lost intrest

Decked the head to clean the chambers up and reshaped them has best has I could.

I have been looking at doing a build with them, but can't fork out the cash to buy one just to measure it.
They are an evolution of the P29, same dome height, just tailored to correctly mate to a D16Y head. They also come with a 21mm wristpin, making an LS rod swap even easier as you only have to thin the big end to fit on the D16 crank.

While I talk up the quench a lot, there is always room for improvement.

Could you explain a little more about quench vs compression?
---- no I can't. After Vizard wrote an article about it years ago, all I'd be is pretending I am half the man he is.

I knew most of that. So I assume the dome volume is very close to that of the P29s.

I would like to try something similar. I have a Y8 head sitting here, a good A6 block, and some LS rods. I just happen to know a few machinests too.

Saw you post on D-series.org. The timing in the lower load sections looks pretty typical to me once you subtract the 10 degrees from the map values.
