Default power steering pipe in grill?

on my 92 civic 4 door i have a random power steering hardline that goes in behind the grill and loops around

is this necessary or can i get rid of this big rusty loop? i would just cut it out and rejoin it being shorter?

i wanna get rid of it to make more room for my intercooler and its ugly and rusty

I'm sure it wouldn't matter if you reattached it. Pressure won't change once the fluid level is correct.

I'm sure its just to help cool the fluid. I don't think that I would really make a difference.

If you can re-plumb it a different way, do it.

think how much it costs to produce and install that cooler
now multiply that by the amount of cars produced
im sure if honda could go with out it they would
i say keep it or try to relocate it if you can
